… the WHAT
It began with the idea of what could happen if we all gave a little each month to spur the development and vision of thousands of existing organizations across the globe. So many amazing Christ-centered non-profits are reaching out to people in hundreds of different ways and with different visions and purposes. They are led by people with big hearts and great visions but many times without national or even community awareness. The one thing they all have in common is the need for resources, support, and the hearts of others to help them succeed and in turn, to change peoples’ lives. We can ‘Be the Difference’ to them and to those they serve. That’s the heart and mandate of Be a Blessing!
… the WHO
Be a Blessing is a family of individuals and businesses joining forces to transform lives through accelerating the development and vision of small, possibly unseen, Christ-centered organizations that are impacting lives locally, nationally and internationally. Together we can achieve even greater levels of impact and effectiveness to the area of need.
… the HOW
We bring support through spiritual, medical, physical, monetary and educational endeavors with no boundaries for what we can be a part of. The skies the limit when it comes to what God can do through us and where He will take this ministry! From financial help to continue and increase the work of non-profits; to personnel assistance with construction, education, orphanages, caring for children, health services, disaster relief, community programs; to providing supplies to orphanages, mission stations, medical clinics, safe houses for released inmates or abusive situations, child and adult education and schools, personal items to those in need, bibles to gospel missions, food to the hungry; to prayer and spiritual support that all centers around the love and hope of the gospel of Christ. The opportunities are endless!
… the WHY
Because some things last forever… and some things do not!
But store up for yourself, treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:20-21
Because Christ desired for us to strengthen and uphold each other!
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ Matthew 25:35-40
They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. Acts 2:42-47
Because as we bless others, we too are blessed!
A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed. Proverbs 11:25
Blessed are those who have regard for the weak; the Lord delivers them in times of trouble. The Lord protects and preserves them— they are counted among the blessed in the land— he does not give them over to the desire of their foes. The Lord sustains them on their sickbed and restores them from their bed of illness. Psalms 41:1-3
Because HE GAVE!
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
