MILLIONS ARE IN A WATER CRISIS! Every 90 seconds a child dies from a water-related disease (WHO). 842,000 people are estimated to die each year from diarrhea alone, as a result of unsafe drinking-water, sanitation and hand hygiene (WHO). Children more than often pay the greatest price for unsanitary water conditions. Water diseases are largely preventable. In this day and age, there is no reason a child should suffer or die from the lack of clean water.

Safe, clean drinking water changes everything! It breaks the cycle of poverty, it allows children to return to school, it helps moms prepare healthy meals, it helps dads be productive rather than sick, it creates personal safety from not walking miles to fetch dirty water every day, it changes lives and gives people hope! Water 4 Life Ministry has been called to bring water to impoverished people around the world.

Water 4 Life has worked with ministries in Kenya, India, Haiti, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, Peru, Philippines, Guatemala and many others. Providing life-saving water filters, and more recently digging permanent wells for villages and communities, is the heart of this organization. Each filter costs $18 and produces up to 500 gallons of bacteria free water per day; yielding millions of gallons of water with very little maintenance. They are small and transportable during disaster relief efforts and are virtually self-cleaning. Individuals can construct and adapt their water filter to locally found plastic buckets or containers in literally minutes.

We take our faucets and showers for granted more often than not. We have no idea what it’s like to walk miles up and down mountains, on pathways and gravel, and then carry gallons of water back to our homes…. and then doing that every day. For millions, it’s all they know.

This month, as another great suggestion from one of you, we are bringing clean water to Peru! It was hit last month with the worst mudslides in their history, killing at least 85 children/adults and destroying/damaging close to 800,000 homes; leaving thousands of families without anything. The devastation is enormous and if clean water was tough before, it’s even worse now. We want to buy 25 water filters ($450) to send to Peru for their disaster relief efforts.

WE NEED YOUR HELP! Give the simple gift of water today…

Shoe box update

Greetings this holiday season to all of you!! Last month, our blessing was a call to send shoe boxes through Operation Christmas Child to children and communities around the globe. We’re happy to let you know that we tracked our 32 boxes all the way to Madagascar and Zambia!! Some very special children received a special blessing because of your generosity. Communities and individuals are being changed through the power of a small gift that illustrates the heart of the gospel. Each one of these children will also have the opportunity to go through a discipleship program which introduces them to the love and person of Christ.

Thank you for supporting this ministry even in its’ infancy! 2017 is going to be a great year of growth and many touched lives. We pray you all have a safe and blessed Merry Christmas!

Give a Chick for #GivingTuesday

Image

Today is #GIVINGTUESDAY!! Join the global ONE DAY giving movement by partnering with us in providing baby chicks to impoverished families and communities. Because of your compassion, needy families will receive a clutch of baby chickens that will grow up to lay thousands of fresh eggs every year. Each family will be provided start-up food, materials to build a coop, vocational training, and marketing skills. Veterinarians will teach them how to construct a coop, mix their own chicken feed, and care for the chickens. Having this knowledge to build a business will give provision for a future and a hope of better things. Sustainable living gifts help impoverished families build businesses, provide food, income, education and medical care.
